Choosing the Perfect Zombies Board Game

Now that you’re ready to brave the zombie apocalypse, it’s time to consider what zombie board game is best for you. Here are some important things to consider when choosing the perfect zombies board game. You’ll be amazed at the amount of diversity in the zombie board game world, so taking some of these points into consideration will definitely help choose the best game for you.

What kind of game do you want to play?

Leaning towards a game that requires cooperative effort? Or do you want to go it alone? Deciding this early on will help you pick the best zombie themed game to fit your gaming style.

How many people are playing?

Some games require a lot of people. And some work better with a small group. How many people you have playing can definitely affect what board game you might want to choose.

How old are the players?

This is a big decision. If you’re playing with kiddos, a zombie themed game might not be the best bet. But, there are some games that are pre-teen to teen appropriate with a walking dead theme.

How long or quick do you want the gameplay to be?

If you’re not up for long gameplay, avoid those games that require a lot of effort.

Zombicide

One of the top ranked zombie games, Zombicide offers a lot of flexibility. This strategy game can be played by 1-6 players and can be played in 20 minutes or 3 hours depending on the type of board you use. This means, you can get a ton of gameplay out of it. In the game, players will become survivors of a zombie-infested town. Sounds fun, right? This cooperative game brings the survivors together to wipe out the zombies. If you’re not into playing the walking dead, this game is perfect.

It’s survivors versus zombies in the Last Night on Earth. This is another strategy and cooperative game for 2-6 players. It’s a relatively short game taking only 60-90 minutes to complete. Fast paced and fun, players will get to take on specific roles that can greatly affect gameplay every time the game is played. The game also has a 12 years and up age level, so younger players may enjoy it too.

The Walking Dead: Best Defense Board Game

If you are a fan of the TV show, you simply must play The Walking Dead: Best Defense Board Game. Play your favorite TV characters, like Rick, Glen, Daryl, and Michonne. Like the other games on this list, The Walking Dead: Best Defense Board Game is a cooperative game. Geared for ages 15 and up, the game is designed for 1-4 players and 45 minutes of gameplay.
